This number called me yesterday and I picked up the call. They said they’re from this company called Bima or something and they are offering a service (like insurance) whereby if anything were to happen to you (death), they would offer money to your next of kin or anyone related to you. You have to sign up with them, and for the first month, you don’t have to pay anything. But for the following months, you’d have to pay RM20+. They asked me for my full name that is in the IC, my birthday, and my house address (to which I lied throughout, just to see how far they’d take things). And then they proceeded to read out my birthdate in IC format, and asked me to complete the following numbers to state my IC, and that’s when I hung up. They have tried calling me back twice today, but I didn’t answer. Please be wary.
